Angela Devlen has spent the past 25 years launching businesses and non-profits, building social enterprises in developing countries and responding to disasters. Her years of international experience in healthcare, operations and disaster management informs the way she and our team advises hospital associations, coalitions and health care organizations. Angela is a regularly invited speaker nationally and her work has been published in various industry magazines, books and peer-reviewed journals.

Chris is an accomplished Emergency Management and Business Continuity professional, known for his program development experience in the public and private sectors. With nearly two decades of industry experience, Chris has advised and developed numerous healthcare resiliency programs for clients across the United States. Before joining Wakefield Brunswick, Chris spent more than ten years leading consulting teams in support of local, state, regional, and national healthcare resiliency efforts. Prior to his work in consulting, Chris worked for nearly a decade at an adult and pediatric Level I Trauma Center in the Chicagoland area.

Vice President of Operations

Crystal Carlson, MPH, CBCP, MEP, is an accomplished Emergency Management and Business Continuity professional with strong program management experience in healthcare, public health, local government, and private industry. She has nearly a decade of experience leading and managing consulting projects across the United States. Crystal coordinated crisis management and business continuity planning efforts in her previous roles and facilitated corporate emergency management compliance, and standardized training and exercise programs in government, healthcare, insurance, and other sectors.

Before joining Wakefield Brunswick, she held senior roles at prominent academic medical centers, where she oversaw enterprise preparedness programs, guided organizations through high-profile incidents, and led multiple regulatory audits—each completed with zero findings. With a dual background in law and public health, Shannon brings a uniquely holistic approach to building resilient healthcare operations.

Senior Advisor

Chelsea Selbig, MPH, CBCP, is an accomplished Emergency Management and Business Continuity professional with extensive experience in healthcare delivery system and health insurance, with a specialized focus in technology. With over 17 years in health systems of varying sizes, Chelsea has built and led crisis management, business continuity and exercise programs. Most recently, she directed healthcare technological major incident and problem management processes, including information security cyber incidents. Chelsea is fully credentialed as a Certified Business Continuity Practitioner (CBCP) and also in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v4 in Service Management.

Deanna Latino, DNP, RN, CPHQ, CPPS, is a healthcare leader with more than 15 years of experience spanning frontline clinical care, quality and patient safety, clinical data, and healthcare resilience. Her background includes intensive care, trauma, orthopedics, cardiothoracic care, long-term care leadership, and work with national medical societies. Deanna is skilled at connecting complex clinical and operational data to uncover risk, guide strategic decisions, and improve performance. She has a proven track record of leading quality and risk-mitigation initiatives with significant cost-avoidance impact. Her work also explores how digital health and responsible artificial intelligence can improve healthcare operations and advance meaningful, patient-centered outcomes.

Senior Advisor

Lori Wallman, MPH, has worked in public health and healthcare emergency preparedness for over two decades in various roles. She began her career in vaccine research at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. Upon receiving her master’s degree, she started working in public health emergency preparedness in the Wisconsin Hospital Emergency Preparedness Program. After 12 years with the program, Wallman moved on to independent consulting in public health and healthcare preparedness. Client projects have ranged from hospital exercises and emergency planning to public health education and curriculum development.

JB Lake, CISR, brings more than a decade of experience in healthcare risk management, business continuity, and operational resiliency within complex organizational environments. Her background spans the business insurance industry, where she specialized in operational strategy and risk-informed program management, before going on to manage enterprise business continuity program activities across a healthcare system spanning seven hospitals, more than 200 clinics, and over 27,000 staff across Minnesota and Wisconsin — supporting continuity plan development, tabletop exercises, and cross-functional coordination with emergency management and operational leaders. JB's experience integrating operational planning, technology, and risk-informed decision-making helps organizations strengthen resilience and sustain critical services during disruption.

Director of Marketing

Charly completed her bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Health Education at the University of Victoria in Victoria, BC, Canada. Inspired by a course on Marketing for Health and Social Change and an attachment to the digital world — it was shortly after graduating that her freelance marketing career was born. Charly leads the development and execution of WB's comprehensive marketing strategy that resonates with our target audience. Her expertise also extends to elevating the look and style of client deliverables, enhancing the overall impact of our service offerings.

Operations Manager

Devon brings a wealth of diverse experiences to her role as Operations Manager at Wakefield Brunswick. Joining the company in 2015 upon receiving her bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences from the University of South Florida, she has since been integral in numerous projects spanning academic and healthcare systems nationwide. In 2017, Devon furthered her education by studying anesthesia at Nova Southeastern University, enriching her understanding of healthcare systems and resilience. This unique combination of academic and practical experience has fueled her interest and commitment to advancing the resilience of healthcare systems.
