Founder

Angela has spent the past 25 years launching businesses and non-profits, building social enterprises in developing countries and responding to disasters. Her years of international experience in healthcare, operations and disaster management informs the way she and our team advises hospital associations, coalitions and health care organizations. Angela is a regularly invited speaker nationally and her work has been published in various industry magazines, books and peer-reviewed journals.

Devon Lees

ANALYST

Devon brings a wealth of diverse experiences to her role as Analyst at Wakefield Brunswick. Joining the company in 2015 upon receiving her bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences from the University of South Florida, she has since played an integral part in numerous projects spanning academic and healthcare systems nationwide. In 2017, Devon furthered her education by studying anesthesia at Nova Southeastern University, enriching her understanding of healthcare systems and resilience. This unique combination of academic and practical experience has fueled her interest and commitment to advancing the resilience of healthcare systems. 

Charly MacMurchy

HEAD OF MARKETING

Charly completed her bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Health Education at the University of Victoria in Victoria, BC, Canada. Inspired by a course on Marketing for Health and Social Change and an attachment to the digital world — it was shortly after graduating that her freelance marketing career was born. Charly leads the development and execution of WB's comprehensive marketing strategy that resonates with our target audience. Her expertise also extends to elevating the look and style of client deliverables, enhancing the overall impact of our service offerings.

Tracy Miller

Senior Advisor

Tracy Miller, MSN, RN, NHDP-BC, is a diverse Emergency Management professional, with extensive experience in program development and management, regional and state health care coalition leadership, education, and healthcare EM consulting. Tracy received her Master of Nursing, Population Health with a concentration in Emergency Management and is board certified as a National Healthcare Disaster Professional (NHDP-BC). Her previous roles include development, maintenance, and compliance of trauma and preparedness programs, operationalizing and managing COVID testing and mass vaccination clinics, and clinical undergraduate nursing instruction.

Chris Sonne

CEO

Chris is an accomplished Emergency Management and Business Continuity professional, known for his program development experience in the public and private sectors. With nearly two decades of industry experience, Chris has advised and developed numerous healthcare resiliency programs for clients across the United States. Before joining Wakefield Brunswick, Chris spent more than ten years leading consulting teams in support of local, state, regional, and national healthcare resiliency efforts. Prior to his work in consulting, Chris worked for nearly a decade at an adult and pediatric Level I Trauma Center in the Chicagoland area.

Lori Wallman

Senior Advisor

Lori has worked in public health and healthcare emergency preparedness for over two decades in various roles. She began her career in vaccine research at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. Upon receiving her master’s degree, she started working in public health emergency preparedness in the Wisconsin Hospital Emergency Preparedness Program. After 12 years with the program, Wallman moved on to independent consulting in public health and healthcare preparedness. Client projects have ranged from hospital exercises and emergency planning to public health education and curriculum development.
